Yoast SEO announced on May 30, 2018, that they accidentally incorporated a bug in their own plugin. While this isn't one of those “your computer is going to die” bugs, it is one that may have affected your SEO. It turned off the indexing of attachment URLs, which is how search engines like Google index the images on your website.
