Sometimes, it’s a good idea to listen to other people when they give you accolades about your strengths.
I’ve had many people tell me that I’m a great teacher. I taught high school English and Journalism for 10 years, and I’ve taught Technical Communication courses at the local university for about 10 years now. I love educating people…but I often let the high school teaching that I did consume me. It was tough–to continue to be good, you have to always change things, better yourself.
I burned out.
So I’ve been plugging away on my own business since 2014, and the idea of teaching has stuck with me. I have always attracted new clients with free classes that I’ve given, but I wanted to expand this beyond the city of Omaha, Nebraska. So I decided that I needed to create an education platform where marketers, bloggers, and small business owners (heck, even English majors!) could come to learn how to do content marketing.
Therefore, I introduce to you A Cup of Content.
A Cup of Content will be the educational arm of Content a la mode, where you (yes, YOU!) can subscribe to learn how to blog, use email marketing, make WordPress websites, write for SEO, learn graphic design, hone your photography and video skills, strategize and implement social media…and more.
Why “A Cup of Content”?
I like coffee. My business is called Content a la mode. I see a need to learn about content marketing in digestible segments. So for the cost of a cup of coffee a week, you can learn about all things content marketing in the amount of time it takes you to drink a cup of coffee…or tea…or water…or whatever it is you fancy.
Sounds awesome! How do I get in the know?
You can follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Send me a message at hello@acupofcontent.com and tell me that you’re interested in joining our email list. You’ll be the first to know when A Cup of Content launches in May 2016!
